The stars/singers that participated were: The Turtles featuring band members FLo and Eddie-whose comical antics were super; Chuck Negron (lead singer in Three Dog Night), Mark Lindsay (former lead singer from the group, Paul Revere and the Raiders), Gary Puckett (lead singer of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap), three of the original Cowsills and Spencer Davis.
Although I enjoyed the entire show, I truly loved the Cowsills when they sang their songs “Indian Lake” “Hair” and “I Love the Flower Girl.” These songs brought back such wonderful memories of my family when I was a young girl.
Our family used to live in Massachusetts, and on most summer weekends, we went on quick road trips to several New Hampshire lakes. Once there, we enjoyed swimming, cookouts with the best ever hot dogs, and such good times. Some lakes even had huge slides going into them…awesome.I also enjoyed Mark Lindsay’s song “Cherokee Nation” and Chuck Negron singing “Joy To The World” with the lyrics, “Jeremiah was a Bull Frog.” This song reminded me of parties at age 16 (Shhh, my parents thought I was at a pajama party, not a drinking party.)
Let’s face it; we can’t ever go back in time, but this all-star get-together, was sure close to going back to the the mid-1960s.
Most of the band members and stars were over the age of 70, and Omaha was the last city in their tour of 62 cities. You would think they would be tired, but they sang as good as they did over 50 years ago.
I hope they come around again next year!!

Chuck Negron who was led singer for "Three Dog Night….what a concert! It was super and made me go back in time to my fun younger years going to concerts, and seating in the noise-bleed section at Hampton Roads Coliseum of Hampton, Virginia. Oh, those were the days?
