Missing Childhood Drive-In Movie Days!

Back in the early ’60s, I remember those special summer evenings when Dad and Mom announced we were going to the Drive-In.
We had it made….Dad worked in the concession stand–so he would bring the fam in to watch the movie, and he would work while we enjoyed the swings and the movie.
During the intermission, we would go visit him and get pizza ,popcorn and a tonic (pop). It was the BEST!
I don’t think I ever finished watching a movie; after intermission we would fall asleep in the back seat of his Station Wagon.
