I am an amateur with doing Youtube, but this video gives you an idea on the values to be found in MCM prints and patterns.
When the Soviet Union created the first artificial satellite called “Sputnik 1”-the race to be the leaders in space technology began. In 1958, NASA was started and America started working with Russia to place a man in space and on the moon. It seemed most topics of the day were space related: Rockets, flying saucers, orbits, satellites; starburst, stars, the sun and organic free-flowing forms. Geometric shapes were trending. From this era, we find these patterns and prints on clothing, household textiles and dishware; geometric-shaped furnishings and accessories. After 50 years, these prints, patterns and shapes have made a revival in their popularity, thus…….Valuable!
