Whenever I’m feeling down, I get in my Cadillac SRX-which has Bose Speakers- turn on Sirius Satellite Radio, turn up the volume, and tune-in to one of the ’60s, ’70s. ’80s, or ’90s stations.
Riding in the car and singing along to those “Oldie-But-Goodie songs I favored when I was young, is so exhilarating.
The other day, I just happened to hear The Monkeys song “Goin’ Down” playing and remembered it was the “B” side of the 45 rpm record featuring their hit song “Daydream Believer.”
I hadn’t heard this song since I was 11 years old-which was a long time ago.
In the song, Mickey Dolenz is singing in an extremely fast pace with a lots of words, and he never screws up?”
He was a truly talented singer!
“Go Monkees!”
