“Old West” Dude Ranches, Lodges and cabins is where you might have found Western-themed “Wagon Wheel” furniture back in the mid-century..
The living room sets with naugahyde (vinyl-coated) upholstery with cowboy-themed designs and wagon-wheel wood frames are extremely popular to own today.
Similarly, A. Brandt Company Inc. of Fort Worth, TX, created the “Ranch Oak” brand of western furniture starting in the 1930s until the 1980s.
If you find any of their western-themed furnishings, they can be quite valuable.
The forest green naugahyde sofa living room set (sofa, chair, coffee and two end tables sold for over $3,000 recently on eBay!

The tan “couch” with the saddle upholstered on it is not a couch at all, but much more. It’s a Ranch Oak davenport, with two open storage rectangles underneath the sitting bench, and additionally, it “opens” into a flat surface for sleeping on it. I only have seen three of these keepers – the one grew up on, the one I own and this one pictured. We reupholstered our home davenport years ago and am about to reupholster my own Ranch Oak Davenport. Very sturdy, functional, beautiful with its white lime wax.

Is there a history of Naugahyde patterns and styles anywhere?
