Everyone wanted “QT” suntan lotion in the ’70s

As a teenager, I lived close to a beach in Virginia. My fair skin was not a happy camper in the sun, so when this product came out I was thrilled. I simply had to buy “Q T” tanning lotion so I could achieve that perfect dark tan.

Oops….I found out the hard way, like everyone else who was fair skinned, I would turn out looking like a giant brown swirl marble. Oh, but I loved those memories of weekends at Buckroe Beach with my friends and family.
